Follow Up Program: Afrofuturism
This was another great follow-up program with our mentees celebrating Black History Month. Our youth learned and discussed the cultural phenomenon of Afrofuturism and explored their creativity in a painting session.
Atlanta Community Food Bank + Atlanta Public Schools
We joined forces with Atlanta Public Schools through support of the Atlanta Community Food Bank to support our young people and their families who are food insecure, we have donated thousands of beverages and thousands of dollars towards this effort of assisting with food insecurity.
Meals on Wheels
During this difficult time we were proud to partner with Meals On Wheels Atlanta. Meals On Wheels staff and volunteers are on the front lines every day, focused on doing all they can do to keep our communities nourished. We are proud to partner with Meals On Wheels Atlanta to make a difference!
Bread of Life, Inc.
We are humbled to be able to partner with Pastor Rudy and the Bread of Life, Inc. of Houston, TX as they assist those who have been impacted not just by environmental disasters, but also by Life’s Disasters. We thank you for the devotion, love, and support that you have shown to the brothers and sisters of Houston.
Mr. & Mrs. Harvey spent time with youth from Make-A-Wish America after the NFL honors during Super Bowl weekend. Mr. Harvey talked about the importance of keeping the faith and provided a little extra encouragement for if they ever thought about quitting.
Mentoring Monday’s is a component of the Steve Harvey Virtual Mentoring Program created as an interactive exchange between Mr. Harvey and young men, ages 12- 21, globally. This program allowed Mr. Harvey to meet mentees on all digital platforms. The exchange focused on addressing mentee needs as they navigated their daily lives; and provided mentoring sessions which highlighted Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (S.T.E.A.M), Financial Literacy, Health & Wellness, and Entrepreneurship.
“Show Me Your Walk” Virtual Commencement with HBCUs
This virtual commencement with HBCUs helped graduates walk into their futures. In partnership with 78 historically Black colleges and universities, Chase helped 27,000 students celebrate their graduation. Mr. Harvey delivered an empowering speech to encourage and motivate the graduates to Focus on their Dreams, their Vision, their Imagination, their Work Ethic and their Faith.
Glenville High School Graduates
Mr. Harvey delivered an inspiring message to the 2020 graduating class of his high school alma mater of Glenville High School. He encouraged the graduates to focus on the dream, as he left them with a quote that culminated the message, “Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions” -Albert Einstein.
Steve Harvey Virtual Mentoring Camp
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic we translated our traditional Steve Harvey Mentoring camp into a virtual program. Hosted by Steve Harvey, this camp offered powerful and inspirational workshops led by leaders across all industries. Some of our guest speakers included Bakari Sellers, ‘Charlemagne Tha God’, Jeezy, Dr. Steve Perry, Willie Moore Jr. and Anthony Hamilton.
In benefit of the Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation the Foundation Fundraiser Golf Invitational event was established to help fulfill the mission to provide outreach to children and young adults by promoting educational enrichment, mentoring and global service initiatives that will cultivate the next generation of responsible leaders.
The Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation 100 Girls of Code Conyers Virtual Mentoring Camp
We partnered with 100 Girls of Code Conyers for an exciting STEM camp, where our youth were engaged in fun and interactive learning activities aimed at getting them excited about the worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
